  The check valve functions to allow only the medium to flow in one direction and to prevent reverse flow. Usually this type of valve is automatically operated with the valve flap opened under the action of fluid pressure flowing in one direction; when the fluid is flowing in the opposite direction, the fluid pressure and the self-reclosing disc of the disc act on the valve seat to cut off the flow. With internal thread check valve, butterfly check valve belonging to this type of valve, down check valve includes swing check valve and lift check valve. The swing check valve has a hinge mechanism, and a valve flap, like the door, free to lean against the inclined seat surface. In order to ensure that the disc is able to reach the seating position at a time, the disc is designed in the hinge mechanism so that the disc has sufficient swing space and makes the disc really, fully engaged with the seat. The valve flap may be made entirely of metal and may be mosaic with leather, rubber, or synthetic coverage, depending on the performance requirements. When the swing check valve is fully opened, the fluid pressure is almost unimpeded, so the pressure drop through the valve is relatively small. The valve flap of lifting check valve is located on the valve seat sealing surface of the valve body. In this valve, except that the valve disc can be freely lifted up and down, the rest is like a stop valve, and the fluid pressure lifts up the disc from the sealing surface of the valve seat, and the backflow of medium causes the disc to fall back onto the valve seat and cut off the flow. Depending on the conditions of use, the disc may be a full metal structure, or may be in the form of mosaic rubber pad r or rubber ring on the valve flap. Like stop valves, the passage of fluid through the lift check valve is also narrow, so the pressure drop through the lift check valve is larger than the swing check valve, and the flow of the swing check valve has few limitations.
